ALEC² is lightweight, fireproof, corrosion proof ceramic composite, has a very low thermal conductivity, is ~1/5 the density of aluminum, is ~1/3 the density of a carbon epoxy composite, 100% circular and sustainable using 85% recycled waste materials and is 100% recyclable at the products' end-of-life.
ALEC² is a suitable material for use in applications where two or more of following properties are important for success:

The final product is made by combining two commercially available materials and both readily available, nontoxic and earth friendly; ALEC² can be molded to very complex shapes.
Fire: ALEC² does not ignite and therefore has a ZERO burn rate
No ignition and no heat release
Produces no smoke or toxic fumes - during processing or in fire event
No heat release at any heat flux

Compression Strength: 750 to 1000 psi
Flexure Strength: 450 psi
Short Beam Shear: 50 to 60 psi
E Modulus: 1.0 to 1.3 GPa (0.14 to 1.7 msi)
24-hour Water immersion: Strength loss is Marginal to Negligible

Material is nailable and bondable
Can be built as a sandwich structure.
Suitable for complex mold shapes - low to no pressure depending on complexity
